Introducing Williamson College of the Trades
Williamson College of the Trades in Media, PA has a unique mission: The College enrolls deeply disadvantaged young men and provides them with a three-year, tuition-free education in the trades. The College allows students who cannot otherwise afford college to earn an associate degree in a high-skill trade. With a Williamson degree, graduates step into leadership roles in high-demand trade fields, and break the cycle of generational poverty.
Sun East Foundation provides financial support for Williamson’s weekend meals program. All enrolled students live on campus, and receive room and board as part of their full scholarship. While many students go home on weekends to relax and see their families, some of the College’s most disadvantaged students opt to remain in their dormitories to escape a chaotic or dangerous situation at home. With a deep commitment to ensuring that no student goes hungry, the College provides hot, healthy food, free-of-charge, to those who remain on campus. Support from Sun East Foundation helps Williamson feed these at-risk young men six meals each weekend, ensuring that they can thrive.
